Three 1-Week Sessions for 2025:July 21-August 8th

Dear Families (New & Returning),

Session 1: July 21st-July 25th

Session 2: July 28th-August 1st

Session 3: August 4th-August 8th

This year I am holding a shortened session as hosting this small (8 camper) offering is very rewarding for both myself & the campers. While there is plenty of park time, the lessons come from tested curricula from actual STEAM classes. It will be my 9th year leading a STEAM Summer Camp.

Update: 1/2 of all camp tuition will go towards acquiring robotics equipment for a local SF School. My SoCal school burned down in the Palisades Fire & I am moving to SF permanently. The move being another reason I’m only holding a few sessions. I’m excited about bringing STEAM to my new school & plan on allocating 1/2 of this year’s camp tuition towards acquiring equipment for starting a robotics team. Also, earlier drop off or later pick-up possible if needed, let’s chat: jelectrasemail@gmail.com

See you at the Playground!!

Warmly,

Jocelyn

Malibu Robotics: 5 Stars on Activity Hero

Information from the Activity Hero Listing from previous summers:

    About Malibu Robotics

Started & lead by a current & experienced STEM educator & World Championship level Robotics coach, our camp introduces elementary school students to the joys of STEM learning in a fun, outdoor environment. Intentionally small for individualized attention, our 8-12 campers per week, play alongside kids from the several other camps meeting in Glen Park.

Our camp is ideal for kids entering 3rd through 5th grades as the foundations for Inquiry Learning in a park environment are strong for this age group. If your child is outside of this recommended age-range, please reach out directly via email to chat about whether this program would be a good fit.

    COMMITMENT TO FUN & EXCELLENCE

Camp is a special opportunity for great ways to learn, create, share, and have fun. Based on actual classes created and taught as electives at exclusive private schools in Los Angeles, these modified versions are designed to be both highly educational and engaging. For campers interested in joining FIRST LEGO League, this is a great introduction!

    PREMIUM EQUIPMENT & PROGRAM

    • Equipment: There is enough equipment in this premium program for campers to create their own robot. This is unique to almost any camp as even the highest-end camps average 3-4 campers per robot. While campers will work together to help each other with their designs, the educational experience of creating their own robot is so valuable to hands-on learning.
    • Premium Camper Educational Experience: Campers will have the unique opportunity to design & builds bots for competitive play on actual FIRST LEGO League fields and and have experiences beyond the step-by step building models of other camps. Additionally they will have fun exploring strategy, decision-making, and project management.

    EXPERIENCED & ENTHUSIASTIC EDUCATORS

Created & lead by MIT & Stanford alums and world champion level robotics coaches with extensive classroom teaching experience. We are passionate about working with enthusiastic kids as our mission is to help kids find their creative sparks! We particularly love and thrives at working with kids in the fun environment camp provides.

After starting and running our school's STEM summer camp for many years, then running one of the leading Tech camps in the country last year, we created this small, premium, offering with equipment and expertise unparalleled in almost any camp in the country.
